Delo Lontovž Neže Lukančič obravnava palačo kranjskih deželnih stanov na Novem trgu, lontovž. Avtorica je predstavila gradbeno zgodovino stavbe in jo povezala z delovanjem in funkcijo stanov. Zgradbo, njeno gradbeno zgodovino in njeno spreminjajočo se zunanjo podobo je prepričljivo povezala s spreminjajočo se politično in družbeno funkcijo deželnih stanov, ki so med 16. in 18. stoletjem uveljavljali deželno avtonomijo. Del nekdanje palače kranjskih deželnih stanov še danes kot sedež Slovenske akademije znanosti in umetnosti stoji na vogalu Gosposke ulice in Novega trga v Ljubljani. Namen raziskave je predstavitev historiata gradnje in predelav stavbne gmote, ki je bila tesno prepletena z zgodovino in pomenom stanovske korporacije. Temeljni poudarek pripada zagonetni in obsežni renovaciji poslopja v drugi polovici 18. stoletja, ki je na zunanji fasadi vidna še danes. Metode pregleda, ki obsega obdobje od poznega 15. do začetka 20. stoletja, temeljijo na študiju obstoječe literature, ki pa je zaradi bornih in mnogokrat protislovnih omemb obravnavane stavbe nujno dopolnjena z arhivsko analizo dostopnih zgodovinskih virov in stavbnih načrtov.
